The Cigarette - To τσιγάρο

Το έργο αυτό το αφιερώνω στην μητέρα μου σήμερα που είναι η ημέρα της Μητέρας. Ένας αγαπητός ξάδελφος βρήκε και μου έστειλε μια παλιά φωτογραφία του πατέρα μου σε κάποια οικογενειακή εορτή το 1956. Ποτέ δεν την είχα δει στο παρελθόν... Η άμεση σκέψη μου ήταν να τον ζωγραφίσω. Ο τίτλος έχει να κάνει με την αγάπη του για το τσιγάρο... Ποτέ του δεν μου επέτρεψε να καπνίσω...
Σήμερα απο 'κει ψιλά που βρίσκεται σίγουρα θα του αρέσει...
Μου λείπει τόσο...

This is my father almost 50 years ago. A cuisin send me the reference photo never seen before few days ago. It was a great surprise for me. My father smoke a lot and now he will smiling at the heavens looking this painting. He never allowed me to smoke... I missed him so much.

new painting

I was inspired by a picture of a sunset and this painting is the result of this. At first I thought it would be nice to include a romantic couple sitting on the bench. After finishing the bench though, I was thinking to live it as it is. That's why I used that title...:-)

Είχα την έμπνευση για αυτόν τον πίνακα απο μια φωτογραφία και το αποτέλεσμα είναι αυτό που βλέπετε. Στην αρχή πίστευα πως θα ήταν ρομαντικό να βάλω ένα ζευγάρι να κάθεται στο παγκάκι αλλά μόλις το τελείωσα σκέφτηκα να ολοκληρώσω το έργο έτσι όπως ήταν. Αυτός είναι και ο λόγος για αυτόν τον τίτλο.
